I Have Set My King On My Holy Hill, On Zion.

August 27, 2008 - Leave a Response

Psa 2:1-12  Why do the nations rage, and the peoples meditate on a vain thing? (2) The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers plot together, against Jehovah and against His anointed, saying, (3) Let us break their bands in two and cast away their cords from us. (4) He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; Jehovah shall mock at them. (5) Then He shall speak to them in His anger, and trouble them in His wrath. (6) Yea, I have set My king on My holy hill, on Zion. (7) I will declare the decree of Jehovah. He has said to Me, You are My Son; today I have begotten You. (8) Ask of Me, and I shall give the nations for Your inheritance; and the uttermost parts of the earth for Your possession. (9) You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel. (10) And now be wise, O kings; be instructed, O judges of the earth. (11) Serve Jehovah with fear, and rejoice with trembling. (12) Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish from the way, when His wrath is kindled in but a little time. Blessed are all who put their trust in Him.

How Excellent Is Your Name In All The Earth!

Psa 8:1-9

To the Chief Musician, on the harp. A Psalm of David. O Jehovah our Lord, how excellent is Your name in all the earth! You have set Your glory above the heavens! (2) Out of the mouths of babes and sucklings You have ordained strength, because of ones vexing You, to cause the enemy and the avenger to cease. (3) When I look at Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars which You have established; (4) what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man, that You visit him? (5) For You have made him lack a little from God, and have crowned him with glory and honor. (6) You made him rule over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet: (7) all sheep and oxen, yes, and the beasts of the field; (8) the birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, and all that pass through the paths of the seas. (9) O Jehovah, our Lord, how excellent is Your name in all the earth!

Happy Is The Man…

June 6, 2008 - One Response

                                          Psalm 1

Happy is the man who does not go in the company of sinners, or take his place in the way of evil-doers, or in the seat of those who do not give honour to the Lord.

But whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and whose mind is on his law day and night.

He will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, which gives its fruit at the right time, whose leaves will ever be green; and he will do well in all his undertakings.

The evil-doers are not so; but are like the dust from the grain, which the wind takes away.

For this cause there will be no mercy for sinners when they are judged, and the evil-doers will have no place among the upright,

Because the Lord sees the way of the upright, but the end of the sinner is destruction.

Jesus Was Different

Joh 7:44-49

And some of them desired to seize Him, but no one laid hands on Him.  Then the officers came to the chief priests and Pharisees. And they said to them, Why have you not brought him?

The officers answered, Never did any man speak as does this Man.

Then the Pharisees answered them, Also, have you not been deceived?

Is it not true that not any of the rulers or of the Pharisees have believed into him?  But this crowd, not knowing the Law, is cursed.

Jesus Invites The Thirsty

Joh 7:37-43

And in the last day of the great feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.

He who believes on Me, as the Scripture has said, “Out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.”

(But He spoke this about the Spirit, which they who believed on Him should receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given

, because Jesus was not yet glorified.)

Then when they heard the Word, many of the people said, Truly this is the Prophet.

Others said, This is the Christ. But others said, Does the Christ come out of Galilee?

Has the Scripture not said that Christ comes from the seed of David and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was?

So a division occurred in the crowd because of Him.

Jesus Said, “Where I Am, You Cannot Come”

Joh.7:31-38

And many of the crowd believed on Him, and said, When the Christ comes, will He do more miracles than these which this One has done?

The Pharisees heard that the crowd murmured such things concerning Him. And the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers to seize Him.

Then Jesus said to them, Yet a little while I am with you, and then I go to Him who sent Me.

You shall seek Me and shall not find Me. And where I am, you cannot come.

Then the Jews said among themselves, Where is he about to go that we shall not find him? Is he about to go to the Dispersion of the Greeks, and to teach the Greeks?

What saying is this that He said, You shall seek Me and shall not find Me, and where I am, you cannot come?

Joh 7:25-30

Then some of those from Jerusalem said, Is this not the one they seek to kill?

(Joh 7:26)But lo, he speaks publicly, and they say nothing to him. Perhaps the rulers truly know that this is the Christ indeed?(Joh 7:27)However, we know this one, from where he is; but when Christ comes, no one knows from where He is.

(Joh 7:28)

Then Jesus cried in the temple as He taught, saying, You both know Me, and you know from where I come. And I have not come of Myself, but He who sent Me is true, whom you do not know.(Joh 7:29)But I know Him, for I am from Him, and He has sent Me.

(Joh 7:30)

Then they sought to seize Him, but no one laid a hand on Him, because His hour had not yet come.
